1. Slaves return to their roots in new music video

Slaves released a new music video for “Bugs” which is taken off their most recent LP, Acts Of Fear And Love. With the video, they hope to shed light on the Long Live The Local campaign, which calls for a cut to beer tax to help keep pubs alive in England. Acts Of Fear And Love is available here.

2. The Story So Far release new music video

The Story So Far partnered with director Miguel Barbosa to produce a music video for “Light Year.” The video features behind-the-scenes footage from NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory “It’s part of NASA’s charter that we share our missions and projects with the widest possible audience. News media is great, but only reaches certain segments of the population,” says Stephanie L. Smith, NASA’s digital and social media supervisor. “Miguel stood out by pitching a music video to help tell the story of the InSight mission to Mars in a fresh and creative way.” The track is taken off the band’s LP, Proper Dose, which is available via Pure Noise Records. The band are headed overseas next month to Japan and Australia before joining Disrupt Festival this summer, and tickets for all dates can be found here. Check out where they’ll be performing below.

3. Xtra Mile Recordings host competition


Xtra Mile Recordings is hosting a competition for the upcoming Lost Evening III at the Boston House Of Blues. They’re offering a local band the chance to open up the Xtra Mile Night of the festival, to be held May 19. Along with sharing the stage with bands such as Against Me!, Skinny Lister and Trapper Schoepp, the winner will also have the opportunity to be featured in the upcoming Xtra Mile compilation. The competition closes April 19, and more information can be found here.

4. Enter Shikari remix As It Is track  


As It Is teamed up with Enter Shikari to produce a remixed track of “The Wounded World.” The track was originally featured on As It Is’ The Great Depression which can be purchased here.  The bands are currently on tour together in Europe, and tickets can be purchased here. 5. Angel Du$t share two new videos


Angel Du$t performed “Bang My Drum” and “On My Way.” They were filmed for Audiotree’s latest “Far Out” session where they film artists performing in unusualy places. 6. HALFNOISE to perform on live television


HALFNOISE will be performing on live television on Last Call With Carson Daly. Their previously recorded performance of their newest single, “Scooby’s In The Back,” will be aired tonight at 1:35 a.m. EST. The band will also be headlining Market Hotel in Brooklyn tomorrow night, March 29.  

7. Aaron West And The Roaring Twenties announce new album


Aaron West And The Roaring Twenties announced the release date for their upcoming album. The LP will continue the story from their first full-length about man named Aaron who, after a series of devastating losses, wanders the country looking for purpose, direction and redemption. Routine Maintenance is set to be released May 10 and is available to preorder here.

8. Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes debut new single


Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes released a new single, “Anxiety,” which is taken off their upcoming album, End Of Suffering. The LP is available to preorder here. 10. Hippo Campus release new music video


Hippo Campus released a new music video for “Why Even Try.” The video, directed by Ruff Mercy, is a trip into the mind of the band. “The way Ruff Mercy’s video weaves between a relatively under control external world and a more unhinged internal world seemed apt,” the band says. “And the approach to animation really captured the sort of chaos and contradictory emotions that we were attempting to explore on the record.” They’ll be joining the Head And The Heart this summer on a tour across the U.S. Dates can be seen below, and tickets can be purchased here.
