A 22-year-old concertgoer was struck and killed by a vehicle Saturday night, September 5, while crossing Highway 2 leaving an AC/DC show in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada. The concert in question—a stop on AC/DC's current Rock Or Bust World Tour—is said to have been attended by 40,000 fans. The victim, who's name hasn't been revealed, was rushed to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Of the accident, spokeswoman Const. Isabelle Beaulieu says Royal Canadian Mounted Police were called around 10:15 p.m. AT. She went on to say, “We are talking about a concert with tens of thousands of people. People want to exit quick, they want to go home. Some of them may be under the influence of alcohol. There's no light on the highway, right. So it makes things more difficult,” (via CBCnews).

Moncton mayor, George LeBlanc, tweeted, “So sorry to hear this sad news. Life can be so tenuous sometimes. My thoughts & prayers are with the family.”
