Actor Christian Bale learned to drum for movie role by listening to metal

Christian Bale is one of Hollywood’s most seasoned method actors. His latest contribution to the film world can be found in The Big Short. In a new interview with Screenrant, he reveals that he learned to play drums in a two-week crash-course lesson plan, during which he listened to only Pantera and Mastodon. In real life, his character Mike Burry unwound by playing along to the kick drum pattern of Pantera’s “By Demons Be Driven.”
