The announcement follows the news that Avenged Sevenfold had to cancel the rest of their North American tour with Prophets Of Rage and Three Days Grace.

It was revealed in a post by the band that due to a serious problem with frontman M. Shadow’s vocal cords, they would no longer be able to play the shows that they had lined up.

Currently, the damage done to the frontman’s vocal cords left him with no singing voice. Shadows explained that his issues were due to a blood blister that formed on his vocal folds. You can read the full letter here.

Due to Shadow’s vocal chord issues, Alice In Chains has been brought on board for this year’s edition of Louisville, Kentucky’s Louder Than Life Festival.

Additionally, Skyharbor and Anemic Royalty have joined the festival while Bad Wolves and Spirit Animal have withdrawn from the lineup.

The festival will run September 28th-30th, with acts featuring Underoath, Asking Alexandria, Bullet For My Valentine and more.
