Alkaline Trio to co-headline with Bad Religion on 40th anniversary tour

Bona fide punk-rock icons Bad Religion celebrate 40 years of punk-rock incisiveness by teaming up with Alkaline Trio for a spring co-headlining tour next year. The campaign starts March 26 at the Palladium in Los Angeles and ends April 19 at the Eagles Club in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Bad Religion frontman Greg Graffin says, “This tour is extra-special. Not only are we celebrating our 40th anniversary, but we get to do it with Alkaline Trio, who are such a great band. I’m really excited about this!”

“Bad Religion was one of my first loves,” proclaims Alkaline Trio co-vocalist/guitarist Matt Skiba. “I remember exactly where I was the first time I heard “Suffer” at age 12. They are one of the very reasons I started to play punk rock music and continue to today. This is going to be epic on so many levels. We done Warped Tour and festival shows many times over the years, but this will be the first time it’s just us and I couldn’t be more thrilled!”

We’re thrilled too, as well as wondering what the odds are of hearing both bands team up for rousing versions of “21st Century Digital Boy” or “Radio.” Last May, Bad Religion released their seventeenth studio album, Age Of Unreason. Alkaline Trio had their last LP, Is This Thing Cursed? released August 31, 2018.
