Alkaline Trio announce hometown shows and other news you might have missed today

Alkaline Trio announced three hometown shows—plus don’t miss a new song from the Menzingers. Check out the news you might have missed today below!

1. Unwill release new single “Slaves”

Unwill released their latest single “Slaves” from their upcoming record Can’t Kill Me. The album is described by the band as being “a journey through spirit and ego,” with “Slaves” representing the spirit of the album. Can’t Kill Me is out Nov. 16 and is available for preorder now.

2. Wallows release alternative cuts to “1980s Horror Film” music video

Wallows released bonus videos featuring previously unreleased footage from the making of the music video for “1980s Horror Film.” Directed by Nina Ljeti, the bonus footage features four minutes of the band performing as well as a rose-petal covered bed and tub. “1980s Horror Film” is available now from Wallows’ debut EP Spring.

3. I See Stars announce North American acoustic tour

I See Stars are going on an acoustic North American tour starting in November. Frontman Devin Oliver announced the tour on his social media, commenting that the acoustic tours were a way for him to connect with fans “in a way that feels unplugged.” You can get your tickets now and see a full list of dates below.

4. The Wonder Years release covers for charity with tourmates

The Wonder Years are releasing covers with tourmates Have Mercy, Oso Oso and Shortly. The covers will be compiled into a four-song record, featuring all of the bands covering each other. Available now via Bandcamp, proceeds from this project will be donated to the ACLU.

5. Circa Survive release music video for “Flesh And Bone”

Circa Survive have released a new music video for their song “Flesh And Bone.” The song is a bonus track off the deluxe edition of the latest record, The Amulet. In addition, you can catch Circa Survive on their headlining tour, which is set to start next week. Tickets are on sale now.

6. Alkaline Trio to play three hometown shows in January

Alkaline Trio announced they’ll be playing three shows at the Metro in their hometown of ChicagoJan. 4-6. The presale is live now, with general tickets going on sale this Friday at 10 a.m. EST. The band recently released Is This Thing Cursed? in August via Epitaph Records. Get your tickets here.

7. Citizen release new song “Open Your Heart”

Citizen released a new song, “Open Your Heart.” The song is only physically available on a cassette, which will be sold on their U.S. fall tour with Turnover and the Story So Far. Tickets for the tour can be purchased on their website.

8. State Champs celebrate The Finer Things anniversary with holiday shows

State Champs have announced three holiday shows this December to celebrate five years of The Finer Things. The band will play their debut album in full, featuring guests A Will Away, Save Face, In Her Own Words and Young Culture. Tickets go on sale this Friday.

9. The Menzingers release new song and music video

The Menzingers released “The Freaks” ahead of their headlining fall tour. Looking like a scene out of Stranger Things, this music video shows the band playing a basement show with Halloween decorations and costumes galore. Tickets are available now for the upcoming tour, featuring Tiny Moving Parts and Daddy Issues.
