Alkaline Trio have been giving minor studio updates the past month, seemingly teasing that something is coming. Well, thanks to co-vocalist/guitarist Matt Skiba, we may finally have an answer on what and when.

In one of his most recent posts, Skiba replied to a comment and said we can expect an EP very soon.

It all started with a picture of Dan Andriano tracking bass with the caption “New Jams!”

So, if that’s not enough to hint at new music on the horizon than what is? Well, one more piece of evidence has come to light.

On a recent post by Matt Skiba, one fan commented asking if there was an EP news? Well, Skiba replied with everything we need.

Skiba said that the three upcoming songs are mixed and mastered and it comes out the day before the tour with Bad Religion

Alkaline Trio’s tour with Bad Religion kicks off in just three weeks on March 24. That means we only have three weeks until new Alkaline trio tunes. That rocks because we haven’t had anything new from the melodic punkers since 2018 Is This Thing Cursed? which peaked at No. 68 on Billboard’s Top 200.

Speaking on the tour, Skiba couldn’t be more stoked.

“Bad Religion was one of my first loves,” proclaims Skiba. “I remember exactly where I was the first time I heard “Suffer” at age 12. They are one of the very reasons I started to play punk rock music and continue to today. This is going to be epic on so many levels. We done Warped Tour and festival shows many times over the years, but this will be the first time it’s just us and I couldn’t be more thrilled!”
