All Time Low return with punchy, anthemic “Some Kind Of Disaster” video

All Time Low dropped their first new music in over a year at 12 a.m this morning, Jan. 21. The quartet titled the song “Some Kind Of Disaster”. After four cryptic teasers spread out over a couple of weeks, the Baltimore-based punks gave fans exactly what the doctor ordered.

The music video for “Some Kind Of Disaster” takes place at an emotional group therapy session where we see the different struggles we all go through. Check it out below.

On Jan. 8, the band uploaded a mysterious panda-filled video and then deleted it the following day. With blacked-out profile pictures for the band account and each member, they first shared a video of the “Birthday” music video panda setting fire to a Last Young Renegade jacket, suggesting the end of their most recent era started in 2017.

Exactly one week later, the band uploaded a second video that sparked even more theories concerning a possible new era.

That clip begins with the 2009 Nothing Personal era skull logo (which each member has inked) before glitching to the 2015 Future Hearts logo and then fading to black.

Fans began formulating theories of what the video could mean. They took note that the logos are fading to black and began theorizing this could mean a new one with the assumed upcoming era.

Exactly one week later, ATL dropped yet another teaser video much like the last one.

Like the previous clips, the video is captioned with its release date, but as if it’s a file on your computer: “011520.mp4.” It also features the logo from Future Hearts glitching out to the spade from their 2017 LP Last Young Renegade.

Yesterday, Jan. 20, All Time Low has dropped another teaser, like the last ones except we get a look at an unseen symbol.

The tweet includes a link that takes you to a YouTube video that would air at 12 a.m EST Jan. 21. Well, it aired, and its All Time Low’s new song “Some Kind of Disaster.

The video starts with Alex Gaskarth asking where a particular something is before getting cut off with the answer. We see a group therapy session sitting in a circle and watch as the band works through therapy with others struggling alongside them. Check it out below.

All Time Low “Some Kind Of Disaster” Lyrics

I’m a liar, I’m a cynic
I’m a sinner, I’m a saint
I’m a loser, I’m a critic
I’m the ghost of my mistakes
And it’s all my fault that I’m still the one you want
What are you after?
Some kind of disaster, yeah

I woke up from a never-ending dream
I shut my eyes at 17
I lost every moment in between
I felt the sun rise up and swallow me, yeah

And it’s all my fault that I’m still the one you want

I’m a liar, I’m a cynic
I’m a sinner, I’m a saint
I’m a loser, I’m a critic
I’m the ghost of my mistakes
And it’s all my fault that I’m still the one you want
So what are you after?
Some kind of disaster

I crashed down from a high that felt so real
I never knew how much it would hurt to feel
You gotta hurt sometimes to learn to heal
You gotta get back up and learn to deal, yeah

And it’s all my fault that I’m still the one you want

I’m a liar, I’m a cynic
I’m a sinner, I’m a saint
I’m a loser, I’m a critic
I’m the ghost of my mistakes
And it’s all my fault that I’m still the one you want
So what are you after?
Some kind of disaster

Well I’ve sung this song a thousand times
I wore the crown, I sold the lie
I lived the life and paid for every crime, yeah
It’s all downhill ’till it’s a climb
Through blood and tears, but I don’t mind
I’ll just keep singing on and on and on

And it’s all my fault that I’m still the one you want

‘Cause I’m a liar, I’m a cynic
I’m a sinner, I’m a saint
I’m a loser, I’m a critic
I’m the ghost of my mistakes
And it’s all my fault that I’m still the one you want
Yeah it’s all my fault that I’m still the one you want
So what are you after?
Some kind of disaster
