All Time Low strip things down for intimate in-studio acoustic set

All Time Low are working on the lead up to their new record Wake Up, Sunshine and while they’ve been dropping singles along the way, they’re offering a new acoustic performance of an older song plus one of their new singles.

The band made a stop at the Vevo offices recently where they performed their song “Dark Side Of Your Room” off their 2017 record Last Young Renegade as well as “Some Kind Of Disaster.”

They gave two songs acoustic performances while making their visit to Vevo – “Dark Side Of Your Room” and new track “Some Kind Of Disaster.”

Earlier this week, the band mentioned that they would be releasing new songs leading up to the release of their new album as it was facing shipping delays for the physical release.

The band previously dropped a handful of tracks from the album over the past while.

It started with “Some Kind Of Disaster” which arrived back in January. After four cryptic teasers posts, the Baltimore-based punks gave fans their first new music in over a year.

Then, they ended up revealing details for the new album which is set to arrive on April 3.

The record includes collaborations with blackbear and the Band CAMINO. Speaking on the album, vocalist Alex Gaskarth says they went back to basics

“We got back to how we started,” Alex says. “It had been a long time since the four of us made a record under one roof. That became a central theme. We’ve been a band for 17 years. Everybody brought something to the table. A lot of what you’re hearing came from those magic moments together.”

Jack Barakat then chimed in and agreed. “I think we accomplished something special. By putting our four heads together, we were able to make a classic All Time Low album.”

A few days later, they gifted fans another new single, “Sleeping In.” The band also gave “Getaway Green” an official release after debuting the track last year at Slam Dunk Festival.

Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, shipping and production of CDs and vinyl is being delayed though. Amazon has even stopped adding stock of non-essential items in their warehouses to make room for medical supplies and more.

The band are still releasing the album on time digitally but fans ordering from Amazon or other retailers will see delays. Gaskarth says orders from their webstore are still shipping on time but that too could change. With that in mind, they’re offering fans more new songs leading up to the album release.

Shortly after that announcement, the band dropped a new lyric video for their song “Melancholy Kaleidoscope.” They’ve still got two more singles which will be arriving before the album comes on April 3.
