Amazon Prime members, be prepared for a price increase. Streaming viewers who pay monthly for Amazon Prime benefits will now be paying more for the site's shipping and entertainment offerings.
As Deadline explains, the price will be bumped to $12.99 a month, versus the $10.99 a month current offering—an 18 percent increase.
However, the entertainment site does explain that the full-year Prime membership will remain $99, with the yearly rate for students staying at $49, too. Plus, for movie and TV lovers, Prime Video memberships will remain at $8.99 a month as well.
The Prime price increase is effective today, and it'll affect all monthly renewals after Feb. 18.
