Hear the folk artist that metal fans are raving about

Folk artist Amigo The Devil released a new song titled “Hell And You,” and it’s garnered metal fans’ attention.

Amigo The Devil, aka Danny Kiranos, is described as challenging the expectations of folk music with morbid yet romantic lyrics. “Hell And You,” from his upcoming album Everything Is Fine, is about Kiranos’ experiences with love.

“Everyone thinks their love story is unique and rightfully so, because it is,” Kiranos says. “I just wanted to write one from a perspective that I’m more familiar with. One that isn’t the same fairytale we’ve heard over and over.”

“Hell And You” is the third single off Everything Is Fine, out Oct. 19 via Regime Music Group. In addition to the all-too-relatable subject matter, the song might be resonating with metal fans for other reasons. Check out the track below.

Everything Is Fine is produced by Ross Robinson (Korn, Glassjaw, At The Drive In) and features drummer Brad Wilk (Rage Against The Machine, Audioslave, Prophets Of Rage).

While self-described as a folk artist, Amigo The Devil is set to play alongside acts such as System Of A Down, Chelsea Wolfe, Alice In Chains, Incubus and more at the upcoming Crucialfest 8 and Sacramento’s Monster Energy Aftershock Festival.

In addition to those festivals, you can catch Amigo The Devil on a national tour starting in September.
