The Black Veil Brides frontman tweeted the number with the words “PART 4” which accompanies a super creepy photo of half of his face. Many believe the messages are tied to his upcoming graphic novel and sophomore solo album, The Ghost of Ohio.

The Ghost Of Ohio is expected to be released by Z2 Comics in March of 2019. His sophomore album of the same name is meant to be released at the same time as the comic, complimenting each other in terms of concept and theme.

“The record is meant to be a soundtrack for the comic book,” he explains. “The focus was to do songs that felt like they represented, in terms of tone, the different emotions of the story. There are songs that are just straight-up fun pop songs. There are songs that are dark, moody, gothic songs.”

The teasing

Biersack began dropping cryptic photos on Twitter mid-January, sharing a “Part 1” teaser just a few days ago. “Part 1” involved fans calling a phone number and hearing a recording of what they believe to be an excerpt from the comic.

Then, on Feb. 2, fans had to discover “Part 2” using the same phone number but a different recording. That day, Black also shared an ambiguous photo on Twitter.

Monday, he shared “Part 3” which you can hear below. He also shared yet another photo.

And now we have part 4 to drive us even crazier wondering what this is all about.

“In a time where fear controlled so much of the behavior and thought of their culture, they felt safe knowing that they had taken the appropriate steps to end their dread. They had believed that the ghost had put a curse on their town,” the message appears to say.

“And so before they buried his body, they removed his right eye and chopped off his hand. As the casket was lowered into the earth, they burned these parts and spread the ashes along the banks of the Ohio River. This was an ancient precaution taken to insure the ghost could no longer touch them or see them and therefore could not hurt them,” the message continued.
