Angels & Airwaves reschedule tour amid Tom DeLonge illness

Angels & Airwaves have postponed their remaining shows this month as Tom DeLonge has fallen ill. The band took to social media to share the frontman “has come down with a nasty upper respiratory infection.”

However, AVA have already revealed the rescheduled dates for this month’s cancellations, which you can see below.

“Unfortunately, Tom has come down with a nasty upper respiratory infection and the upcoming dates are being rescheduled,” the tweet says.

In addition to their headlining tour, the band also canceled a stop in Philadelphia at Radio 104.5’s Winter Jawn with AJR, Local Natives, Sub Urban and Moonroof. A stop in this city hasn’t been rescheduled at this time.

“Bad News: Due to Tom Delonge suffering from a serious upper respiratory lung infection, Angels & Airwaves have been forced to cancel their tour, including #1045WinterJawn,” the radio station shared. “They’re extremely disappointed they won’t be able to play for you 1/25 and hope to be back to Philly soon.”

At the end of 2019, Angels & Airwaves teased a new song while providing some information about the new documentary about them. According to Tom DeLonge, the sing is titled “TIME BOMB.”

Details are scarce so far, but we know the Angels & Airwaves documentary is due out in 2020. Angels & Airwaves had a busy end to 2019 having been on tour all of December. They’ve also put out two new songs being “Kiss & Tell” and “Rebel Girl”.

Now, the band announced a documentary about them is due out this year. The film is directed by Peter McKinnon and who knows that all it will entail. Check out the tweets below.
