Creepy 'Annabelle 3' teaser reveals film's official title

It feels like 2019 just might be the year for horror films as we prepare ourselves for the release of Jordan Peele’s Us (which has already snagged a rare 100% Rotten Tomatoes rating, by the way). As the debut for that film draws nearer, New Line Cinema made sure to waste no time in giving us another creepy movie to look forward to this summer. A brand-new teaser for Annabelle 3 has just been released, finally announcing the film’s official title in a simplye, yet very creepy way.

While the short-but-sweet teaser doesn’t contain any actual footage from the film, the creepy doll’s laugh within the trailer is enough to send chills down your spin.

Annabelle 3, which has now been revealed as Annabelle Comes Home, is slated to hit theaters on June 28. This means that, hopefully, we’ll be seeing the first official trailer for the film over the next few weeks.

Ed and Lorraine Warren are expected to return alongside Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga. James Wan will return to produce the film.

Wan directed SawDead SilenceInsidiousInsidious 2The Conjuring and The Conjuring 2 among others. He has also written or produced the other Saw and Insidious films, Lights OutAnnabelle and Annabelle: Creation.

While not a WHOLE lot is known about Annabelle Comes Home we do know that the evil is expected to target the Warren’s 10-year-old daughter, Judy.

“Paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren keep a possessed doll locked up in an artifacts room in their house. When the doll awakens the room’s evil spirits, it soon becomes a night of terror for the couple’s young daughter and her friends.”

Annabelle meets Aquaman…

James Wan created a superhero, horror film crossover that some Aquaman fans may have missed their first time watching the film.

MovieWeb reported the find:

“Near the beginning of Aquaman, Arthur Curry is led on to Mera’s ship to start a mission. While they are getting on the ship, the Annabelle doll can be seen at the bottom of the ocean, and it’s very brief, which means that a heads-up is a good thing so that you can look out for it.”

MovieWeb also reported Wan was asked about the cameo but skirted the question. In his response, he mentions actor Patrick Wilson who appears in the Conjuring universe as Ed Warren and the upcoming Aquaman as King Orm.

“I don’t know what you are referring to. [Laughs.] I have no idea what Easter Egg you are referencing here, if it’s an Easter egg… Maybe Patrick Wilson is really Ed Warren pretending to be King Orm? What can I say? I’d like to see that film, how about that?”
