Anthony Green talks “very challenging” Saosin, Circa Survive LP timeline

Anthony Green of Saosin and Circa Survive spoke on Twitter today about the release schedule of some new music. Green is currently working on what will potentially be the seventh Circa Survive studio album.

He told a fan that everyone will have to wait on the fourth LP by Saosin until after that is finished. He thanked everyone for understanding the timing and release schedules.

Anthony Green received a very heartfelt compliment from a fan on Twitter yesterday. Replying to Anthony Green’s tweet about an unconfirmed date for the upcoming Blue Sky Noise tour, a fan chimed in to tell Green how much he loves his music.

@AnthonyGreen, decades long @Saosin fan here. CAN’T WAIT FOR #LP4!!!!!!! Just found out about @circasurvive a couple months ago. I know, it’s sad. I’m sorry. HOWEVER, I’m now a HUGE FAN of BSN & Descensus & the Amulet! & I can’t WAIT to spend some ? on the #BlueSkyNoise tour!!

Green replied in kind discussing the release schedule for the upcoming tunes.

Working on new circa music right now so you’ll have to wait until that comes our before we can move with lp4. Trying to time everything right is very challenging. thanks for understanding.

More Anthony Green

Circa Survive and Saosin vocalist Anthony Green revealed via Twitter last month he had relapsed in his addiction.

Green told fans he is “trying to take time to pull (himself) back together.”

“this is the hardest thing I and my family have ever experienced. I look forward to getting healthy and hopefully being able to share in making music with and for you again. See you in the spring,” the tweet reads.

Anthony Green has been vocal about his addiction in the past, penning an essay for Spotify about his journey with substance abuse.

“I was 19 when I first went to rehab. The first time I was ever sick from not doing drugs was then. [I’d been doing] lots of opiates, pills, heroin, cocaine—just kind of anything. I was doing them so much that my body was getting dependent on it,” he wrote in that essay that was published in September 2018. At that time, he was celebrating four years of sobriety.

In 2016, Anthony Green dropped a solo album Pixie Queen that was heavily influenced by his wife helping him overcome his addiction.

Circa Survive will be touring in the spring to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of their 2010 album Blue Sky Noise. You can get tickets here and see the full list of dates below.
