Anthony from Bayside to host monthly open mic

Hello fellow musicians and songwriters. I am proud to announce an awesome opportunity to be seen and heard in New York City. First Fridays Open Mic is a place to come and show what you got. Whether you are in a band or not, you are welcome to come down and play. Open mic nights are a great tradition in the landscape of music. They can be beneficial and fun if you just wrote your first song, just wrote your latest masterpiece, want to test out some new material or even just want to play some covers. Amateurs and professionals are all welcome. If you don't play, but love live music, make sure to come out and see some great up and coming artists. You never know if you might hear the next big thing before anyone else.
Angels & Kings has become the go to bar in New York City for professional musicians and the music industry. On any given night the bar is filled with rock stars, publicists, executives, booking agents and more. Have you ever wondered how to have your music heard in the right place at the right time? This could be it. You never know who might be popping in from time to test out some new songs.
The night is run on a first come first serve basis. When you enter the bar, you just put your name on the sign in sheet. Mics and lines for vocals and acoustic guitars will already be set up. When your name gets called, you hop. Everyone gets 2 songs. Just bring your guitar, keyboard or any other instrument you can plug directly in.

First Fridays Open Mic will be held on the first Friday of every month at Angels & Kings, beginning August 5th. The open mic runs from 7:00pm until 10:30pm. Since this is a bar, it is only open to people 21 and over.
