In a new report by TechCrunch, (who found out about the new mix from a Reddit user) found that the streaming service is getting ready to launch “Friends Mix,” a new feature that will curate a weekly playlist featuring songs your friends have been listening to.

Per the report, the new playlist is set to showcase 25 songs that have been a favorite of your friends, and it’s set to update itself every Monday.

It’s important to note that Apple has yet to comment on the new feature, but it appears that this new playlist will soon be available on beta versions of iOS 12, macOS Mojave, or tvOS 12.

In another report by Hypebeast, it appears that the new feature won’t just throw whatever your friends are listening to into the mix.

Algorithms will reportedly be used when creating the weekly playlist, where it will also take into consideration what your own music tastes are (so you won’t be finding tracks that are way different to what you listen to!)

Apple’s new friend’s playlist is reportedly set to make its way to all Apple Music subscribers this September.

Again, the new feature is yet to be something that has been confirmed by Apple, but we so wouldn’t mind sharing the latest in the “Friends Mix.”
