Apple are unveiling the latest iPhone model at next event

Every time Apple announces a new device it sets the internet ablaze and it looks like the company is ready to do so again with a new iPhone.

The tech giant is hosting their next big event on September 10 with the centrepiece this time being the iPhone 11.

The new iPhone is rumoured to come in three styles replacing its predecessor, the iPhone X. It’ll come as the standard 11 (replacing the budget XR) and two 11 Pro models, set to replace the XS and XS Max, respectively.

New features rumoured for the iPhone 11 include a triple-camera array with an ultra-wide lens, a new A13 chip and wireless power-sharing similar to the Samsung Galaxy series.

According to Tech Crunch, they could be aiming for a slightly lower price model for the new phone to appeal to consumers put off by their high price tag. The price shift could help them in increasingly important markets like China and India. Both countries currently stand as numbers one and two in global smartphone sales, respectively.

The new iPhone model arrives just a few months after the company revived the iPod.

The seventh generation iPod Touch has an A10 Fusion Chip (same as an iPhone 7) and runs “twice as fast” as the previous model. They also fixed the problem of lack of memory space by adding an additional storage option of 256GB for $399.

It starts at $199 for the 32GB model, $299 for the 128GB model and $399 for the recently announced 256GB option.

With this event being the last big hardware push from Apple before the holiday season, there easily could be more they are waiting to unveil.
