The Kinison break up

LaSalle Records band the Kinison have decided to call it quits. Frontman Christopher Lewis posted a length letter on the band's Geocities site, an excerpt from which is below:

"[After this year's Warped Tour], I moved about an hour away from the rest of the band. I had to try to clear my head. Three straight years of touring and living with five or six other people in a van or hotel room took a toll on me and the rest of the guys and I needed time off. The four other members didn't waste any time and started writing without me. I was perfectly FINE with this […] I wasn't feeling it. After a few more practices and after we canceled doing demos for the record I knew I was done. I wasn't happy any longer and hadn't been in a long time. I love music and this wasn't music to me. It wasn't the Kinison anymore, it got lost somewhere. […] Once inspiration leaves, it leaves with a vengeance. My inspiration that drove me to be in The Kinison is gone. Music will always be apart of my life, whether it's listening to it or simply appreciating it or performing again. Whatever it may be, I will let music take its course."

Lewis also mentioned in his letter that the band recorded a live album on May 29, 2005 at the Glasshouse in Pomona, California, although no plans of a release have been announced yet. The band spent the majority of the past two years on the road in support of their major-label debut, Whar Are You Listening To?, as well as their recently released What Are You Watching? DVD.
