So you might be asking yourself why there was no news this past Friday. Well, I'll tell you why, my little netizens — it was because the AP crew was in Chicago at the mammoth Flower15 extravaganza from Friday through Sunday. Things you missed, if you blew it and didn't show up:
The Promise Ring reuniting for one show(!) in front of a sold-out audience.
The Smoking Popes reuniting for good(!!!) in front of a sold-out audience.
Davey vonBohlen of the Promise Ring singing with Jimmy Eat World on "A Praise Chorus."
Jim Adkins of Jimmy Eat World singing with the Promise Ring on "Is This Thing On?"
Tim Kinsella of Make Believe singing with the Promise Ring on "Red Paint."
Tim Kinsella of Make Believe trying (and mostly failing) to incite a riot during his own band's set.
Eli Caterer of Smoking Popes tell the crowd, "This is the most fun I've had in seven years."
Underoath play "Reinventing Your Exit" for the first time in months.
The capacity crowd at the Underoath show being the most insane bunch of music-lovers that anyone from AP has witnessed in a very, very long time (props to the kids who were doing somersault crowd-surfing!).
One of the best sets of shows AP has ever been a part of in as far back as we can remember.
Our biggest congratulations go out to Susanne, Tim, Mahmood and everyone at Flowerbooking for turning 15 with what was truly a weeklong party that AP was just proud to witness. Here's to another 15 years!
