The Militia Group sign the Appleseed Cast

After months of rumors, the Militia Group have officially confirmed the signing of long-running emo-turned-shoegazer act the Appleseed Cast. The Lawrence, Kansas, band, who have formerly released albums under both the Deep Elm and now-defunct Tiger Style labels, are working on their sixth album and Militia debut through the year's end with new drummer Nathan "Junior" Richardson (The Casket Lottery, Coalesce). The currently untitled disc is due "in early 2006," according to the Militia Group.



The band have announced plans to road-test some of the new material on a short Midwest tour this December; you can find those dates below:
