Engine Down guitarist re-joins Bats & Mice as drummer

Former Engine Down guitarist/Denali drummer Jonathan Fuller has re-joined Lovitt Records act Bats & Mice as drummer. The trio are working on new material for a 2006 release, and are also currently hammering out touring plans for the new year, with a trek penciled in for Spring 2006.

The group, formed in 2000 by Fuller, David NeSmith and Ben Davis (all formerly of Sleepytime Trio), saw Fuller depart in early 2001, before they ever even had a chance to play live. The band have suffered through myriad lineup changes, the most recent being drummer Luke Herbst leaving in 2004 to join Totimoshi after the release of B&M's A Person Carrying A Handmade Paper Bag Is Considered As A Royal Person EP.

Fuller isn't the only member of the recently deceased Engine Down keeping busy: Biology, the side project of From Autumn To Ashes' Francis Mark and Josh Newton, feature ex-ED drummer Jason "Cornbread" Compton on the kit. That trio recently released their debut LP, Making Moves, on Vagrant Records.
