Mates Of State sign to Barsuk

Pitchfork is reporting that indie-pop duo Mates Of State have signed with Seattle indie label Barsuk Records, former home of Death Cab For Cutie. The label will release the pair's fourth full-length, Bring It Back, on March 21, 2006. The band were previously aligned with Polyvinyl Records, where they reissued their first LP, and released two new LPs and most recently the All Day EP in 2004.
