Weezer clears up confusion surrounding sixth album

Hands in the air — who can't wait for April 22nd and the release of Tout Ensemble, Weezer's highly anticipated 6th studio album? Turns out you, along with radio stations and music news websites (*ahem*, not AP, thank you very much) have all been duped. Earlier this month the supposed album name and release date started to circulate the internet, citing the website www.albumsix.com as the source of this information. The authors of albumsix.com were assumed to be either members of the band or someone close to the band trying to go deep undercover and leak the information. Well, we all know what happens when we assume, don't we? According to the band's official website, the CD is not titled Tout Ensemble nor is it going to be released on April 22nd. No word yet on when the correct title and release date will be revealed.

In other Weezer news, the Geffen release of Rivers Cuomo's solo album, Alone – The Home Recordings of Rivers Cuomo, has been pushed back from December 11 to December 18. Check out the cover art and track listing below.
