Jody Porter (Fountains Of Wayne) to release solo record

Jody Porter, guitarist for Fountains Of Wayne, will be releasing a solo record titled Close To The Sun on August 26 via FAEC / Fiveman Army.

The songs are described as "bridg[ing] the gap between the atmospherics of Porter’s first band, the Belltower, with the more guitar-driven power pop of his work in Fountains Of Wayne."
