Shai Hulud elaborate on their recent tour cancellation

Long-running metallic hardcore pioneers Shai Hulud have elaborated slightly on their recent tour cancellation with Full Blown Chaos and Elysia. The band posted the following statement on their MySpace blog:

Greetings Programs:

This is just a small note to clear up any and all confusion about the status of the Summer Of Scum tour with Shai Hulud / Full Blown Chaos, Elysia, Woe Of Tyrants, and A Girl A Gun A Ghost. The tour has unfortunately been canceled due to circumstances well beyond anyone’s control. Both Full Blown Chaos and Elysia were dealt severe blows forcing the bands to drop off the tour to attend to personal and family matters, thus bringing the tour to an early end. As sad as we were to return home early, we were much more sorry to see our good friends suffer through their respective troubles. We wish only the best for our friends, and hope they will be up, running, and touring again soon. We’re certain they will be.

Thanks to all of you who came to one of the few shows we did play on this run. All the bands appreciated your warmth, energy, and attendance. Shai Hulud will be back on the road sometime this year, hopefully making up the shows that we weren’t able to play this summer. We’ll be in touch, hell, we’re just a My Space message away. Thanks Tom!

We were genuinely looking forward to rocking with anyone and everyone this month. We’ll see everyone soon, however. We know, we know, not unless you see us first. Personally, I never understood that joke.

End of line:

Matt Fox / Huludicidal
