Obscura signs to Relapse Records

German progressive death metal practitioners Obscura have inked a deal with Relapse Records. The band is currently in the studio recording their second full-length set for release via Relapse in early 2009. Obscura’s founding guitarist/vocalist Steffan Kummerer commented on the new album and newly inked deal:

"We are very happy to have found in Relapse a strong partner for the upcoming albums. We think Relapse is one of the best homes for progressive death metal in general and we are looking forward for this long time cooperation. We are putting the final touches on the mix and mastering for the upcoming album which will see the light in the beginning of next year. Obscura are back – stronger than ever!"
