Translation Loss signs Battlefields

Translation Loss has signed progressive doom metal act Battlefields.

The band is currently recording their as-of-yet untitled debut full-length for the label at The Devil’s Workshop in Minneapolis, Minnesota, which is slated to come out in early 2009.

Drummer Rob Schmidt is handling the engineering duties, while Nick Zampiello at New Alliance Audio will be mastering the record. The album will also feature artwork courtesy of Paul Romano (Chiodos, A Life Once Lost, The Acacia Strain).

The band has two previous EP’s under their belt thus far, 2006s Stained With The Blood Of An Empire and 2007s Entourage Of The Archaic, both released on Init Records.

According to the label’s press release, new audio from the forthcoming disc will be posted online soon. In the meantime, you can listen to some music here.
