The Hold Steady's Tad Kubler admitted to hospital

The Hold Steady guitarist Tad Kubler has been admitted to a hospital for pancreatitis. Though previously unrevealed, Kubler’s hospitalization is the reason for the band canceling their UK dates that were set to kick off today.

The band will finish out the rest of the European tour, however, before coming back to the U.S. for dates with Drive-By Truckers and then Counting Crows and Mêlée.

They’re out in support of this year’s Vagrant proclamation, Stay Positive.
