Kid Dynamite tribute set for release

Kid Dynamite‘s tribute album, originally announced over a year ago, has been finally confirmed for a release.

Carry The Torch, as it’s titled, will have 33 tracks and feature acts like This Is Hell, No Trigger, the Ergs!, This Time Next Year, Broadway Calls, Energy, Soldiers, Fallen From The Sky and more.

You can stream three songs — This Is Hell’s "Troy’s Bucket," Broadway Calls’ "Bookworm" and the Ergs!’s "Fuckuturn" — at the tribute’s MySpace page.

The album will also feature liner notes by former KD members Dan Yemin and Dave Wagenschutz.

Carry The Torch will be released in Spring 2009 on CD by Get Outta Town and LP by Black Numbers.

Portions of the proceeds will go to benefit Callum Robbins, the son of noted producer J., who was diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy in 2006.

Slots on the tribute album are actually still available, so the labels are asking interested bands to contact them through the above MySpace page.
