Shook Ones post big studio update

Shook Ones, who are posting studio updates to their Blogspot page as they continue to record their third full-length, have posted their biggest update yet.

Several YouTube clips are now available, several of which provide an instrumental sneak peek of one song. Additionally, judging from the whiteboard, the vast majority of the (instrumental/vocal) tracks have been recorded.

The as-yet-untitled album is being recorded with Jackson Long at 2 Sticks Audio. It’s set for a January 2009 release on LP of Paper + Plastick, the vinyl/digital-only label ran by Less Than Jake’s Vinnie Fiorello.

The band recently released a split 7" with End Of A Year on Runner Up Records, a split with Easel on Alliance Trax in 2007, and their last full-length, Facetious Folly Feat, in 2006 via Revelation. They also have a split with Hour Of The Wolf due out eventually on No Idea.

Speaking of No Idea, the band will play The Fest next weekend.
