Dillinger Escape Plan to enter studio in June 2009

Dillinger Escape Plan have announced in a MySpace blog posting that they’ll be entering the studio in June 2009 with long-time producer Steve Evetts to track their fourth studio album.

The band warns the plans are “loose,” but if it happens, the album will imaginably be released in late 2009. That’ll mean the fastest turnaround between studio albums yet for Dillinger fans, who had to wait five years for the sophomore effort (2004’s Miss Machine) and three for the next one (last year’s Ire Works).

The blog also discusses plans to tour Australia in February and March, and a possible U.S. tour prior to that. It also gives updates on side projects and rails against illegal downloading and MySpace’s Goals, Plans, Hope categories for blog posts.
