Headbanging is bad for you

The British Medical Journal has published a legitimate report indicating that headbanging "might cause brain and neck injury." No, really.

The organization’s very specific and detailed report used a short list of songs selected by a focus group of 10 musicians from local bands to use as examples in their studies. Among them were Spinal Tap’s "Tonight I’m Gonna Rock You Tonight" and Mötley Crüe’s "Kickstart My Heart."

They also draw comparisons to Beavis and Butt-head to substantiate the findings.

The Journal, in part, suggests curbing these injuries through "substitution of adult oriented rock and easy listening music such as…Michael Bolton, Celine Dion, Enya, and Richard Clayderman, for heavy metal."
