City Sleeps air dirty laundry about ex-singer

Emo/alt-rockers City Sleeps have aired some dirty laundry (almost literally) about ex-singer Elliott Sharp, courtesy of a blog posting by guitarist Adriel Garcia.

"When he blew our chance with a major label upstream deal that would have potentially made our careers," Garcia says, "we finally had enough and we fired him (he says he quit, no shocker there). He then went online and supposedly "copywrited" the new songs as his."

Garcia goes on to describe Sharp’s doings: "He tells people his father is dying and he needs money for the funeral; which is untrue and just awful. He tells people his dad is Al Jourgensen from Ministry. He tells people he has a Million dollars in some overseas bank account, but he needs to borrow 20 bucks. He pretends he has a studio. He doesn’t bath and wears the same cloths everyday until they disintegrate. He pretends he’s a nice guy. He stalks girls on myspace and pulls the "i can make you famous" card… creepy."

The Trustkill band, who released the now-interestingly titled Not An Angel in 2007, is currently looking for a replacement.
