Pavement mulling reunion, possibly for Coachella

Pavement is mulling over the idea of reuniting for Coachella–though not necessarily this year.

According to guitarist Scott Kannberg, the band may reform "soon," and their booking agent in in talks with Coachella festival organizers about performing at the event.

"2009 would be our 20-year anniversary too," Kannberg noted, "so that’d be a good time to do it, but I think that’s too soon; it might have to be pushed back later."

The band initially broke up in 1999 after their final release, Terror Twilight. However, their other four studio albums–Slanted And Enchanted, Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain, Wowee Zowee and Brighten The Corners–have since been reissued in deluxe versions.
