Verse breaking up

Providence hardcore act Verse have announced their impending breakup.

"This has been one of the most important things in our lives for quite a while now," said frontman Sean Murphy in the posting. "While it’s sad to see it come to an end, we’re all glad we can look back on some great experiences we have had, and wonderful people we have met throughout the years. […] It’s been a pretty crazy trip."

They quickly amended the announcement in a MySpace bulletin to add, "None of us are too sure about how we feel about doing a final show…not ruling it out completely, but sometimes that can come off the wrong way, and none of us want that. If we can do it right, we will do it."

According to a post by member Chris Berg, the band will be dropping off their previously scheduled spring tour with New Found Glory, and will seemingly not be playing their hometown show this coming Friday, February 13th.

They released three full-lengths during their six-year tenure: 2004’s Rebuild and 2006’s From Anger And Rage on Rivalry, and last year’s Aggression on Bridge Nine. They also released the 4 Songs EP in 2003.
