Karate High School guitarist diagnosed with skin cancer; tour cancelled

Karate High School guitarist Geoff Garnett has been diagnosed with skin cancer, specifically malignant melanoma. The band has consequently canceled their March tour with Watchout! There’s Ghosts.

"With only a few days before leaving for tour I was hit with this bombshell and honestly my first fear was not for my life, but that I couldn’t tour," said Garnett. "Apparently cancer is a big health risk and these nerds in white labcoats with “fancy” phD’s recommend I stay at home for proper treatments."

Garnett adds that the initial results are encouraging for a quick recovery.

The band’s Eyeball debut, Invaders, should also be set for a specific release date soon, following up 2007’s The League Of Tomorrow (EVO).
