Fireworks to replace Shai Hulud on NFG tour

Fireworks will be replacing Shai Hulud on New Found Glory‘s current tour.

Hulud had been barred from playing the band’s shows at various House of Blues venues, which is owned by Disney. "Chalk it up to our profound lyrical hatred," the band said. "Or something like that." However, they have not officially addressed the specific reasoning for dropping off the whole tour.

For Fireworks, they’ll consequently be dropping off the vast majority of their previously scheduled tour with We Are The Union.

In a quasi-ironic twist, Shai Hulud had originally been the replacement for the breaking-up Verse.

The Baltimore stop last night reportedly had Trapped Under Ice playing in Shai Hulud’s place, with Fireworks set to join the tour today.
