A Static Lullaby announce fall/winter tour; Phil Pirrone health update

A Static Lullaby have announced their tour plans for the rest of the year. Following a pair of one-off shows in California and Mexico, the band will spend a good chunk of November with Haste The Day, Halifax, Scary Kids Scaring Kids and BEDlight For BlueEYES. The second leg of their tour is in December, alongside Funeral For A Friend, Hopesfall and LoveHateHero. Ben Newsham will be filling in for ASL bassist Phil Pirrone, who was hospitalized earlier this month after a car crash. Pirrone recently posted a message on the band‘s website, expliaining what happened:

"I was driving home from my parents house… The car blew a tire and I was going way too fast, I lost control of the car and went off the road, into a small burm and went up into the air. I flipped the car several times. I was wearing my seat belt. In my car, which was a Buick Regal, the seat belts are attatched to the doors. The driver door was unhinged and I flew from the car along with the door. I flew about 400 feet and landed on the Golf Course that parallels the road. The car was crushed and completely totalled. If I were to have stayed in the car, I would not have survived… [The police] checked my vital signs and quickly rushed me to the Arrowhead Medical Center nearby. I was in ICU on lifesupport and in a coma for two days… My injuries were: Massive internal bleeding, all my ribs were broken, my lungs were punctured and collapsed, My spleen was damaged and needed to be removed, my liver was lacerated.. A small hole was made at the bottom of my back. I had a chest tube, two drainage tubes, a cathater, an IV, and oxygen for the first few days after I was moved out of the ICU."

Pirrone will be in recovery for some time, but insists that the band will begin work on their third full-length in early 2006, with him on bass. Until then, you can see the band on the road. Dates:
