Angels & Airwaves giving away free Love

Apparently, the members of Blink-182 don’t like downtime. Both Travis Barker and Mark Hoppus are busy remixing songs, and now Tom DeLonge is working on promoting an upcoming, totally free-to-the-fans, release from his other band, Angels&Airwaves. The project, a CD/film entitled Love, will feature a mini documentary that chronicles the recording process of the band’s 2006 debut, We Don’t Need To Whisper. DeLonge had the following to say about the album itself:

“The music of Love,” DeLonge says, will have a prog-rock kind of flavor. “It’s like blending Radiohead and U2 together with these kind of Pink Floyd movements,” he explains. “Things happen unpredictably and take you to these epic soundscapes. It’s very much in the spirit of Angels & Airwaves, but it sounds way, way more thought-out and way more ambitious.”
