Coheed And Cambria go to Heaven & Hell
Coheed And Cambria have revealed that they will play support on this summer’s Heaven & Hell tour. H&H features past and present members of Black Sabbath, including vocalist Ronnie James Dio, guitarist Tony Iommi, bassist Geezer Butler and drummer Vinny Appice.
A press release for Coheed says that Dio-era Black Sabbath was the favorite group of frontman Claudio Sanchez and guitarist Travis Stever, and that the first show Sanchez ever attended was Sabbath at New York’s Beacon Theater in 1992. Sanchez is quoted as saying, "The night would prove to be one of the most influential of my life. I got the overwhelming feeling that the whole stage was alive–the lights seemed to be as controlled by the sounds as everyone there, and I would exit the venue that night with a fire lit under me."
