Kanye West apologizes to Taylor Swift
Ever-outspoken rapper Kanye West has apologized (in blog form) to country starlet Taylor Swift for interrupting her acceptance speech at the VMAs last night. As Swift began her speech for winning "Best Female Video," West jumped onstage, grabbed the microphone and insisted that Beyonce should’ve won instead. A befuddled Swift stood at the podium silently as MTV cut to a different segment. Later in the evening as Beyonce accepted the award for "Video Of The Year," Knowles let Swift come out and finish her speech.
West–who was reportedly escorted out of the ceremony–took to his blog to apologize in all caps.
"I’M SOOOOO SORRY TO TAYLOR SWIFT AND HER FANS AND HER MOM. I SPOKE TO HER MOTHER RIGHT AFTER AND SHE SAID THE SAME THING MY MOTHER WOULD’VE SAID. SHE IS VERY TALENTED! I LIKE THE LYRICS ABOUT BEING A CHEERLEADER AND SHE’S IN THE BLEACHERS! …………………… I’M IN THE WRONG FOR GOING ON STAGE AND TAKING AWAY FROM HER MOMENT!…………….. BEYONCE’S VIDEO WAS THE BEST OF THIS DECADE!!!! I’M SORRY TO MY FANS IF I LET YOU GUYS DOWN!!!! I’M SORRY TO MY FRIENDS AT MTV. I WILL APOLOGIZE TO TAYLOR 2MRW. WELCOME TO THE REAL WORLD!!!!
