Ticketmaster and Live Nation merger approved

The merger between ticketing behemoth Ticketmaster and Live Nation–the world’s largest concert promoter–has reportedly received approval from the U.S. Department of Justice. Live Nation announced plans to buy Ticketmaster last February for about $400 million in stock. Due to massive criticism from anti-trust agencies, artists and other organizations, the DOJ investigated the merger, which was approved in the U.K. last month.
