Ariana Grande's new "thank u, next" trailer is so fetch

Last week, Grande began teasing fans with behind-the-scenes images from the “thank u, next” video set. The singer dropped Legally Blonde13 Going On 30 and Bring It On images.

However, from the Burn Book-like single art to her social media posts, all signs pointed to Mean Girls being the main inspiration.

First, the singer took to Instagram to share two amazing images. Grande posted an image of her hiding behind her own version of the Burn Book, emblazoned with her single’s title. She also shared  her full Regina George-inspired look, complete with a blonde wig and necklace just like the cult classic’s queen bee.

But the teasing didn’t stop that. Over the weekend, Grande invited one of the film’s iconic heartthrobs onto the set. The guest is none other than Jonathan Bennett, who plays Aaron Samuels in the movie. You know, Regina George’s ex, or Cady Heron’s love interest, who looks sexy with his hair pushed back.

Now, the singer is giving fans a more in-depth idea of what the “thank u, next” video is going to look like. Grande shared a star-filled teaser that recreates one of the most iconic scenes of Mean Girls.

Bennett appears on the trailer alongside other stars from the movie, as well as Troye Sivan. They’re, of course, sharing some myths about the queen herself, Ariana Grande.

“Ariana Grande told me my hair looks sexy pushed back,” says Bennett. “She’s not wrong.”

“I heard she’s a lesbian now and dating some chick called Aubrey,” Sivan reveals. “It’s f*cking sick.”
