As It Is frontman Patty Walters smashes guitar onstage for charity

Patty Walters from As It Is definitely knows how to make a statement, and the latest move at Slam Dunk festival further proves this

During their set, Walters completely smashed and destroyed a guitar on stage, but for a good reason.

According to fans at the show, Walters said the pieces of the guitar would be auctioned off to donate money to school music programs.

The entire moment sounded extremely hardcore and we wish we would have been there to see it.

Besides the incredible As It Is set, Slam Dunk seems particularly epic this year. We saw both Waterparks and All Time Low perform new songs. Plus, we got to get an on-stage collab between Awsten Knight and ATL that was probably one of the performances of our dreams.

More As It Is news

As It Is did a fantastic job reworking their songs into different styles on their Denial: Reimagined EP, and it appears they’re back at it.

The band just released a new EP, Anger: Reimagined, with three new versions of tracks from The Great Depression.

They recorded an ’80s pop-infused version of “The Stigma (Boys Don’t Cry),” while “The Handwritten Letter” received an acoustic retouching. Lastly, As It Is went hardcore for a new rendition of “The Question, The Answer.”

The band announced the new EP along with a range of options for vinyl collectors to get their hands on. The 7-inch vinyl is available now and you can pick up a copy here.

The British rockers recently invited celebrity drag queen Trixie Mattel to roast them in person in Liverpool. To make matters even funnier, Mattel invited them to her comedy show where As It Is requested to learn a thing or two about makeup from the drag queen afterward.

Unfortunately, they couldn’t meet up due to both of their shows happening simultaneously. You can see how the Twitter exchange went down below.
