As I Lay Dying’s Tim Lambesis pleads guilty; faces nine years in prison

After some delay in his trial, As I Lay Dying’s Tim Lambesis appeared in court today, February 25, in Vista, CA.

According to NBC 7 San Diego, the singer changed his plea in court to guilty, admitting that he attempted to hire a hit man to kill his estranged wife, Meggan. As a result of this plea, Lambeisis will serve nine years in jail.

But according to Lambgoat’s courtroom mole, the reported nine years is not a concrete sentence, as the duration of prison time was not defined in the plea deal. So, in the end, the singer could face a different duration of prison time. As part of the deal, he could serve up to nine years in prison, an additional four years of parole following his release and a fine of $10,000.

Sentencing will take place May 2.
