1. Pop rockers As It Is debuted their new song “Curtains Close,” via Billboard. Give the track a listen below.

The song is taken from their forthcoming album, okay., set to drop tomorrow, Jan. 20. Guitarist Benjamin Biss tells Billboard about how his parent’s divorce both influenced the song—and the way he hopes the song will impact listeners’ views on love.

“This song is a tough one for me,” Biss says. “At school I was the one kid who had this idealistic family, whose parents were still together. When I hit 18 everything started to fall apart and I bailed and moved out to University early. My parents split after 20 years of marriage and that was really hard for me, even as an adult.”

”Everyone has a different experience when dealing with a broken family and people will interpret the song in multiple ways but for me, what I take from the song, is that whilst some things aren't meant to be, don't ever let your parents mistakes destroy your belief in love.”

2. Sorority Noise dropped their new track “No Halo,” the first single off of their new full length record You're Not As _____ As You Think. Give it a listen below!

“This song is about having a friend pass away and still keeping them fondly in your mind to the point where you show up to their house forgetting that they're no longer there,” says vocalist and guitarist Cam Boucher. “It's about struggling to keep up with the people you love when you're away and how to be/how it feels to not be there for them when they need you most.”

The group’s new album is set to be released March 17 via Triple Crown Records. Pre-orders are available now here.

Sorority Noise have also announced that they will be touring this spring with Modern Baseball, Kevin Devine and The Obsessives. Tickets for the tour are available now. Check out the full list of dates here.

3. Thirty Seconds To Mars shared a teaser for their upcoming Camp Mars 2017.

The third-annual Camp Mars is set to take place Aug. 12 through Aug. 14 in Malibu, California. Tickets go on-sale starting Wednesday, Feb. 1 at 10 a.m. PST here.

Back in November, Thirty Seconds To Mars began teasing new music, with a new album set to drop in 2017. This album would be the band's latest release since they released Love, Lust, Faith, and Dreams back in 2013.

4. Metalcore outfit the Anchor released “The Hardest Part” music video. Check it out below!

The track comes from their recent full-length release A World Ahead, which is available via iTunes and other online retailers. Vocalist Linzey Rae says the song is about finding forgiveness—even for those who have hurt you most.

“I lost my mom to drug addiction. One of the most difficult lessons in life is realizing that you can't always change or save someone,” Rae says. “The hardest part is letting go and saying goodbye. This song is a testament to forgiving through pain, remembering the best in people, and letting go of resentment. We can only be free when we find forgiveness for those who have hurt us most.”

5. Korn’s Jonathan Davis launched a T-shirt to benefit the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and Stomp Out Bullying.

According to the Merchful page, Davis has long fought issues with bullying and abuse for being “different.” This limited edition tee is a kickoff design of the #BeDifferent brand, which shows that it’s okay to “be a freak, an outcast or just a tiny bit normal/abnormal” showing that there truly is hope for those who may not see it.

Every purchase of the #BeDifferent brand will help benefit those struggling with bullying and suicidal thoughts, with a portion of proceeds benefiting the two non-profit organizations. T-shirts will be available for purchase for two weeks—pick it up here.

6. Modern Baseball released “This Song Is Gonna Buy Brendan Lukens A Pair Of Socks,” as part of their three-way split with Thin Lips and The Superweaks. Give it a listen below!

Jake Ewald told DIY Magazine that it is the first song they wrote as a band since the Holy Ghost sessions.

“I showed the guys an acoustic demo, then we met up at our studio to flesh it out and record it ourselves,” Ewald says. “Right now we’re really into guitar solos.”

The split will be digitally available on Jan. 20 via Big Scary Monsters and Lame-O Records.
