On Monday, Asking Alexandria shared a video of their unplugged “Antisocialist” performance.
Back in March, Asking Alexandria released their video for “Antisocialist.” The single is just one of 15 tracks featured on Like A House On Fire. It has also become one of Asking Alexandria’s most successful active rock singles. This feat is one of the reasons the band decided to release an unplugged performance of the song.
“Over the years we have been known to release many acoustic versions of our songs from a number of albums,” Ben Bruce says. “‘Antisocialist’ has rapidly become our most successful active rock single of our entire career so we wanted to do something special.”
For this unplugged version, Asking Alexandria didn’t want to just do an acoustic version of the song. Instead, they decided to reimagine “Antisocialist” entirely and offer a different performance for fans.
“Instead of just another ‘acoustic version’ of a song, we decided to really strip this one back and try and recreate the song as an unplugged version that lives and breathes its own identity,” Bruce continues. “An unplugged, vulnerable rendition of the song that hopefully allows people to feel like they are in the room with the band whilst we play it. To all of our fans, old and new, we truly hope you enjoy this unique version of ‘Antisocialist’ as much as we do. We love you.”
Currently, “Antisocialist” is sitting at No. 4 at Active Rock Radio. The single also hit No. 1 on SiriusXM‘s Octane “Big Uns Countdown” this week.
Like A House On Fire was produced by Matt Good (Hollywood Undead, From First To Last). Good also helmed Asking Alexandria’s 2017 self-titled album. The band recorded the majority of their new album in 2019 while on tour with Shinedown and Papa Roach.
