Attila frontman Fronz has some bad news about the future of concerts
While people are eagerly awaiting some good news about the future of concerts, it appears shows won’t be happening until fall 2021 and Attila frontman Chris Fronzak has some insider info that is both good and bad.
In a lengthy Twitter thread, the Attila singer is giving a bit of hard news to hear showing that even when concerts are happening again, they won’t look the same.

The thread is starting off with Fronz he’s been talking with “higher-ups within the music industry” before explaining what he knows.
He reiterates the point that concerts aren’t happening until 2021 “or later” and strict rules are going to be in place.
As we found out today, moshing and crowd surfing won’t be allowed. According to the Attila frontman, standing isolated and enjoying the music will be the only thing they’re allowing.
On top of that, venue capacity limits are going to stay strict meaning tours won’t be as financially viable for bands. This means ticket prices are going to be higher but he says he has ideas for how to make it worthwhile.
I’ve had a lot of talks with the higher-ups within the music industry. Things are going to be very different for the future of live music, a lot more different than any of you could imagine. Also, it is very unlikely that any concerts will happen until 2021 or later.

When concerts DO come back (let’s say 2021) there will be strict rules about distancing and the amount of people allowed in the venue. No moshing, no crowd surfing, no stage diving. Everyone will essentially be standing isolated and just listening to the music, nothing more.

Because of the strict limits that will be imposed on venue capacity, tours won’t be financially viable for any bands unless ticket prices are raised a LOT higher… This sucks, but I have a few ideas about how we as bands can make this higher ticket price worth it for our fans.

I am not saying any of this to be pessimistic in any way. I’m always extremely optimistic. I just know a lot of insider info pertaining to the music industry and things are way different than any of you could imagine. Will it ever go back to normal? Sure! But not any time soon.

A fan then asks for a bit of clarification on whether these measures would be in place until a vaccine is available. As we all know by now, when a vaccine is widely available to the public things will begin to return to normal.
According to Fronz, we could see a situation where only those who are vaccinated are allowed in venues. This could result in a separate piece of ID showing you’ve been vaccinated.
When you say that do you mean like, moshing restrictions will pretty much last until a vaccine/treatment is widely available? Bc once that happens I don’t see any reason to keep distancing. Even if I’m corporate venues try to keep this up, underground scenes will be normal

The sooner a successful vaccine is created the sooner it will be normal again. But even then there will still be rules. For example: ONLY people with the vaccine will be allowed to see concerts and you will need to have a special ID that will be scanned to verify that. https://t.co/2Y9jpkO80M

Further, these rules could differ between states and countries. According to his messages, things are still moving day by day and decisions regarding situations like concerts are constantly in flux despite everyone wanting concerts back.
True. It’s gonna be strange. And the rules will vary state to state which will ALSO make things difficult. Let’s say half the states require vaccines for concerts and half just reduce capacity to 25%. Who fucking knows dude….

I’m not a conspiracist type dude and I’m not an advocate of fear mongering. I’m simply relaying all the info I’ve been given the past 2 months. I sure as shit hope I’m wrong about it all because I want normal concerts and moshpits to come back as soon as humanly possible ??
— Metalcore Gatsby (@FRONZ1LLA) May 12, 2020
Yeah exactly. Pretty much everything is being made up as we go at this point. So who really knows what will ACTUALLY happen. Regardless, nothing is looking very promising for the near future of live music, and that fucking sucks.
— Metalcore Gatsby (@FRONZ1LLA) May 12, 2020
Exactly. There are so many stipulations behind concerts that people don’t even realize. It’s a complicated business with many moving parts. https://t.co/3htoMnkB0v
