Theatrical metalheads Avatar just released a new single, “A Statue Of The King,” along with an appropriately regal new music video. The tune's the first to be unleashed from the upcoming Avatar Country, out Jan. 12, 2018.

Avatar Country is the Swedish metal band's seventh studio effort, following their 2016 full-length Feathers & Flesh, which gave us the show-stopping video for “Night Never Ending.” From the looks of it, it seems like Avatar Country will take us further inside the band's conceptual “parallel universe”—check out the new album's cover art and track list after the clip.

“Metal exists in a parallel universe that is so much better than this one,” Avatar singer Johannes Eckerström recently told AP. “It's where the ugly becomes beautiful, the ridiculous becomes awesome and the normal becomes mundane. We're trying to carve out our own little piece of land.”

Avatar will be indeed getting the lay of the land in January when they head out for a U.S. tour with the Brains and Hellzapoppin. Get the dates below.
